Last Saturday I met Philip Bloom during the first european HDSLR meetup in Amsterdam!
Philip Bloom is a pioneer with HDSLR filming, one of the first that used it professionally.
More important is that he shared all his knowledge and insights with the world via his blog.
Next to that he produced a DVD which shows you what to do/how to film with an HDSLR. If you’re new to this type of filming this is the DVD you want.
Anyway, I have been a regular visitor of his blog for the last 1,5 year and he really inspired me to do more with film.
It was so weird that I saw him in real-life, another example of how the world has changed.
Imagine, I have seen him a dozen times via internet films, where he explains tons of good techniques. It is almost if you know him in person.
And suddenly he stands behind you during the check-in of the event.
cooool.
I’m don’t do worshipping of people, never drooled on big rockstars or moviestars or anything like that, but I have the utmost respect for the work Philip has done, and the way he shared it with the world. He inspired thousands of people worldwide.
During the event we got the chance to interview him, and with the drinks afterwards in a bar when the majority of the people went home, I asked him if I could get a pic with him.
Philip thanks!
