Yes!

After some long hours of editing, a postponed premiere, a lot of more editing, is my film is finanly ready!
It is called ” It Surfs you Well”
Friday 09th September was the premiere.

The film is a birthday gift to my friend Geert. He is just crazy about surfing, and I needed a cool subject to film.
After some tests in Bergen, we decided to go to France with some friends.

We spend 4 days around Les Sables d’Ollonne, surfing, filming, grinding, and enjoying.
It was sooo cool, but a hard job. In the end we were all wasted, but the results are there. wow.

So hereby the finished film.

Since I’m not a surfer, I had to swim all the shots in the water. Even though I had fins and a weatsuit, a surfer on a board has just more streamline.
So he will always be faster. I had to swim like hell and am in a better physical condition.

We shot from the beach on a selfmade stage with a sony Z1.

and all the shots in the water are shot with the cool GoPro HD.
Sometimes we attached it to the surfboard, to film Geert in action. But we also taped it to a bogey-board while I tried to keep parallel with the surfer going the same wave.

We made a helmet cam, and a special handheld cam.
